Não se trata &lt;i&gt;apenas&lt;/i&gt; de tornar rigoroso aquilo que os físicos já julgam conhecer, mas fornecer à física, novas ideias inspiradas pela aplicação dos poderosos métodos da matemática moderna.  Neste processo muitas vezes desenvolvemos, além de novas ideias físicas, novos instrumentos matemáticos, cujas possibilidades de aplicação transcendem a fronteira dos fenômenos físicos para os quais estes instrumentos foram originalmente desenvolvidos. Neste contexto, temos uma experiência de quase 10 anos na obtenção de &lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;Resultados Rigorosos em Teoria Quântica de Campos e Mecânica Estatística&lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;. &lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify; line-height: normal; "&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 9pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: black; "&gt;Resumo:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 9pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: black; "&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: black; "&gt;A determinação das propriedades espectrais de qualquer teoria de campos é um dos problemas centrais da física. Nosso objetivo neste trabalho é compreender de uma maneira matemáticamente rigorosa, a parte inferior do espectro de energia-momento de alguns modelos de teorias quânticas de campo com tempo imaginário em redes de dimensão d 1: Modelos puramente fermiônicos e modelos de cromodinâmica quântica. Nossa escolha do Espaço-tempo euclideano é devida ao fato de que até o momento esta é a única formulação da teoria quântica de campos que é matemáticamente justificada, além de que o teorema de reconstrução de Osterwalder-Schrader garante uma maneira de recuperarmos a teoria de campos com as propriedades físicas desejáveis em espaço de Minkowski quando as propriedades equivalentes valerem no caso euclideano. Para obtermos o espectro dos modelos de teoria quântica de campos que trataremos aqui, nós exploramos a correspondência entre a teoria quântica de campos no espaço tempo euclideano e a mecânica estatística, dois dos campos de maior interesse da física. Do ponto de vista matemático, ambos teorias podem ser formuladas como teorias de medida em espaços de variáveis aleatórias, i.e. espaços de processos aleatórios generalizados. Esta construção começa por considerar medidas definidas em espaços de dimensão (in)finita com cutoff, enquanto a Física tradicional está interessada com as propriedades da medida no limite sem cutoff. Os casos limites de interesse são o limite ultravioleta e o limite infravermelho. Tais limites muitas vezes se mostram objetos difíceis de serem construídos, e outros obstáculos também emergem quando tentamos estabelecer as propriedades satisfeitas pelas medidas resultantes destes limites e pelas suas funções de correlação. Para atacar tais problemas, diversas ferramentas analíticas novas vem sendo desenvolvidas para substituir a expansão perturbartiva usual, que se mostra quase sempre divergente nos casos acima. Nós nos restringiremos a modelos definidos na rede de forma que o problema do limite ultravioleta não nós interessa. Nós tratamos o problema do limite infravermelho com o uso das chamadas expansões em polímeros, que permite construir as medidas no limite termodinâmico. Nossa análise do espectro é baseada na obtenção de representações espectrais para funções de correlação de dois e quatro pontos, um requerimento que é negligenciado em outros tratamentos. A análise das funções de correlação é simplificado pelo uso de várias simetrias dos modelos. A determinação do espectro é executada através de um estudo detalhado das taxas de decaimento das funções de correlação. Nossas analíses anteriores, em situações simplificadas, mostram que até próximo ao limiar de três partículas, o espectro de energia e momento exibe curvas de dispersão isoladas que são identificadas com partículas e estados ligados de duas partículas. Este trabalho tentará responder, como é o padrão espectral em regiões superiores do espectro, onde os métodos atuais, baseados em uma análise de equações tipo Bethe-Salpeter, são incapazes de fornecer respostas rigorosas.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 9pt; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; color: black; "&gt;&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

Realizada anualmente, a OBF tem como foco os estudantes dos 3 (três) anos do ensino médio (antigo 2º grau) e estudantes da nona série (antiga oitava série) do ensino fundamental. Por meio da OBF a Sociedade Brasileira de Física mantém colaboração com os vários Departamentos de Física de IES, incluindo desde novembro de 2010,colaboração com Departamento de Física da UFG / CAC. O objetivo geral deste projeto é o de difundir a atividades e a natureza da OBF, por meio de ações informativas, junto a comunidade estudantil de Catalão e cidades circunvizinhas. Para tanto se pretende criar uma livro de questões resolvidas e comentadas da OBF para divulgação junto as escolas.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>Sobre Física &amp; Matemática</title>

&lt;p style="text-align: justify; "&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small; "&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial; "&gt;                &lt;span style="color: black; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; "&gt;Uma rápida visão da a minha atitude em relação à matemática e física pode ajudar a orientar os meus alunos e colaboradores, que, espero, sempre irão incluir tanto matemáticos quanto físicos.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-converted-space"&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; "&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; "&gt;Há dois fatos marcantes do cenário científico atual - o engenho ousadia e imaginação dos físicos em inventar peças incompletas de ferramentas matemáticas; que de fato parecem ter algum apelo intuitivo para a descrição de determinados fatos experimentais e, o impressionante poder dos instrumentos formais e técnicos&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-converted-space"&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; "&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; "&gt;aperfeiçoado pelos matemáticos ao longo dos anos, quando aplicado a problemas que são expressos em um linguajar adequado.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-converted-space"&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; "&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p style="text-align: justify; "&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small; "&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial; "&gt;&lt;span class="apple-converted-space"&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; "&gt;                O fato é que p&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; "&gt;ara se sentir “em casa”, os matemáticos precisam trabalhar em um contexto onde eles compreendam – ou sentam que podem, em princípio, entender – todos os elementos formais importantes que compõe o problema, já os físicos de trabalham em uma situação severamente oposta, onde os problemas estão mal formulados e tem fundamentos lógicos confusos.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-converted-space"&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; "&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span title="Of course, at an obvious level physicists are more ``intuitive'', and are very impatient with pedantic formalism."&gt;Poderíamos dizer, &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; "&gt;em um nível mais superficial, que os físicos tendem a ser mais “'intuitivos”; e geralmente muito impacientes com o que eles chamam de “formalismo pedante”.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-converted-space"&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; "&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; "&gt;No entanto, bons matemáticos têm a sua própria espécie de “intuição”, embora pareça haver uma longa tradição na comunidade matemática de eliminar impiedosamente todos os traços dela do produto final do seu trabalho.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";

&lt;p style="text-align: justify; "&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small; "&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial; "&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; "&gt;                 Além disso, os Matemáticos trabalham, em uma escala de tempo mais lenta e procuram continuamente lapidar seu material para expressá-lo de uma forma mais clara para os seus colegas e alunos.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-converted-space"&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; "&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; "&gt;Um benefício adicional desta atitude é o desenvolvimento de “livros texto” - atualmente é possível aprender tópicos avançados de matemática a partir de livros didáticos, de uma forma que era impossível, mesmo a poucos anos atrás.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-converted-space"&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; "&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; "&gt;Por outro lado, os físicos (no que eu me refiro de maneira mais geral aos “físicos teóricos”) são como fashionistas, desesperadamente buscando a mesma bolsa, nunca comprando-a, mas periodicamente, convencendo-se que aquela bolsa saiu de moda&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; "&gt; e saem a desejar um novo modelo.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-converted-space"&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; "&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="color: black; "&gt;Além disso, os físicos trabalham com uma tradição muito mais “oral”, onde muitas ideias importantes ficam restritas no que  os matemáticos chamam de “folclore”.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:"Arial","sans-serif";

&lt;p style="text-align: justify; "&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small; "&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Arial; "&gt;&lt;span class="apple-converted-space"&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 115%; color: black; "&gt;            &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 115%; color: black; "&gt;Claramente, estes são talentos complementares, e em um mundo ideal seriam combinadas para o benefício mútuo de ambas as áreas, como ocorre de fato em alguns casos. Pense em Poincaré, Hilbert, Weyl e de muitos físicos que tinha um excelente conhecimento da matemática da sua época.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-converted-space"&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 115%; color: black; "&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span title="Here one must say that the physicists are better adapted to this cooperation than the mathematicians - their technical virtuosity has been brought at the expense of extreme specialization, while physicists have maintained a tradition of breadth."&gt; Atualmente, me parece,&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 115%; color: black; "&gt; que os físicos estão mais bem adaptados a esta cooperação que os matemáticos - seu virtuosismo técnico foi criado à custa de uma extrema especialização, enquanto os físicos têm mantido uma tradição mais “interdisciplinar”.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span class="apple-converted-space"&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 115%; color: black; "&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span title="While it is possible - indeed not uncommon - for a mathematician to be familiar with a broad spectrum of contemporary"&gt; É claro que &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="line-height: 115%; color: black; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; background-color: white; "&gt;é possível - na verdade, não poderia dizer - um matemático ou um físico se familiarizar com um grande leque de tópicos de matemática e física contemporâneas, mas parece haver obstáculos sutis inerentes à organização das disciplinas e das universidades para o desenvolvimento de uma massa “crítica” de pesquisadores para realizar esta tarefa.
